Sony showcases new HD camera

Asia Pacific – In line with its debut at IBC 2011, Sony announced in Asia Pacific the launch of the HDC-2500, the latest addition to its range of live production solutions.

On the back of a year which has seen Sony push boundaries in terms of what can be achieved in live production, the new HD camera demonstrates Sony’s commitment to developing innovative solutions.

The HDC-2500 is equipped with the world’s first carbon graphite style body for a professional camera, making it stronger than even magnesium. This improvement benefits not only the environment, due to the sustainability of the carbon graphite material but also the camera operator, especially for field shooting usage users.

The camera utilizes advanced HD digital signal processing with 16 bit A/D converters. It also boasts newly developed CCD and DSP sensors which are incredibly sensitive and enable operators to produce high picture quality.
