Spice Shop builds IT infrastructure with DVS
Hanover – Bangkok-based Spice Shop chose DVS technology when building its IT infrastructure. The DVS systems with their open interfaces are meeting all the studio's requirements: two SpycerBox Flex and one SpycerBox Ultra are playing a key role in delivering high performance and flexibility in the post production network, with the CLIPSTER DI workstation functioning as the centerpiece within the workflow, due to its real-time functions such as conforming, RAW data processing and DCI Mastering.
With SpycerBox from DVS, Spice Shop has opted for storage solutions that offer reliable real-time processing of uncompressed projects in parallel, resulting in time savings for editors and colourists. Integrating multiple SpycerBoxes instead of a monolithic storage system allows for redundancy and modularity in the network. Spice Shop uses two SpycerBox Flex for online storage, while the SpycerBox Ultra, as the near-line storage system, offers the various workstations direct access to content
DVS's innovative Spycer software is also proving itself to be the optimal solution for cross-platform data management at Spice Shop, with Spycer enabling them to optimize their workflows with high-speed copying processes as well as searching and editing functions for image material and its meta data.
