Super 78 to design and produce Typhoon Theater 360-degree experience for Resorts Word Sentosa

Singapore - Super 78, the Hollywood, California-based full-service production studio specializing in creating custom and branded experiences for family audiences, has been selected by Resorts World Sentosa, Sunray Woodcraft Construction Pte, Ltd., and Ralph Applebaum Associates to design and produce the Typhoon Theater 360-degree experience for the Maritime Xperential Museum in Singapore. Production is already underway for the one-of-a-kind, 360-degree immersive experience, which literally and figuratively sinks the audience into the story of 9th century slaves working the Silk Road as a massive typhoon hits.

“A powerful story line, a world-class venue and state-of-the-art in-theater effects allow us to sink the audience into the middle of one of Asia’s most distinguished eras and give them a real feel for what a journey along the Silk Road might have been like,” said Brent Young, Super 78 creative director who will direct the attraction film and serve as creative director for the show experience.

Super 78’s Dina Benadon and Michael Palmieri serve as executive producers. Typhoon Theater is expected to open in summer 2011.
