Thailand Entertainment Expo 2008 to drive country’s media industry

Bangkok: The Thai government will hold the first Thailand Entertainment Expo from 24 - 28 September, 2008 at Siam Paragon to promote awareness among international producers.

It will feature participants from the film, music, and TV production and animation industries along with seminars on how to promote the industry and address existing stumbling blocks.

The government expects more than 200 companies from film, music, animation, and TV as well as more than 40 foreign entertainment producers to participate.

Thailand’s entertainment industry is valued at more than 300 billion Baht (US$8.91 billion).
